Pench National Park is a beautiful place and It is a pretty park, along with diverse wildlife and natural beauty. Located between the states of Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra, the place itself is famous for its rich animal life, scenic views, and exciting safari experiences for wildlife lovers.
This park is named after Pench River which runs through the length of the park and the region into two halves. This park has an area of around 758 sq. km and has been serving India’s conservation purposes since it was declared a sanctuary in 1977 and a national park in 1983. Another fact about it is that Kipling’s Jungle book was also shot there.
Some of the common features within the park include the plants and the animals that are found there. Predominantly the forests are of teak and other assortments of trees such as Mahua, Bamboo, and Saja are also found here and there. The undergrowth in the mentioned area is also filled with a lot of grass as well as many medicinal plants.
The major attraction of Pench is the Bengal tigers, about 40 tigers are found in Pench Park. The other wildlife that can be sighted in the park include Leopards, Wild dogs (dholes), Sloth bears, Indian wolves, Hyenas, and deer such as the spotted deer and the Sambar deer. There are lots of fish in the Pench River and many small rivulets are seen here. It's a paradise for bird lovers if someone loves to see birds.
One of the great things that I did during the entire trip was to go on a safari in the Pench National Park. Visitors have an option of jeeps or elephants with which to tour the park and view the animals in their natural environment.
Jeep safaris can be the most popular of all the choices. It starts in the morning and in the evening this is because they serve by stretching as per tourism visitors in the morning and the evening. There is a professionally guided tour in each jeep, and photo scouts identify animals and describe the park’s environment. There are no barriers to obscure the view and since it is an open jeep, then the best place to take photographs is here. In addition to that, to have a more detailed view of nature, you can also take a jeep and work your way deeper into the forest.
In terms of visitation, it is accessible from October to June. However, the preferred time to transact business therein is from November. Up to May since most animals, especially the tigers, work on the surface in search of water and food. Country to the eastern regions of Africa, Ugandan starts its dry season in April, May, and June, which is also the best time for animal observation as the weather is really hot.
Also, the park is included in the Project Tiger which is a government’s effort to protect the Bengal tigers as well as their territory. Pench National Park employs some procedures to prevent hunting and other survivals, they are using anti-poaching teams and work on the management of natural environments and natural resources in conjunction with local people. All these initiatives have assisted in this manner to increase tiger population as well as the general health of the ecosystem.
Tiger Safari’s ground at Pench is located just outside the Park and we offer accommodation right from Premium Forest Hotels to economical Forest Lodges. Most of these parks have tourist information services, some of which include conducted tours, and nature walks among others. Some of the accommodation options are Pench Jungle Camp, Tuli Tiger Corridor, Pench Tree Lodge, and others.
